In addition to being a member of the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Political Thought and Conceptual Change (Academy of Finland), The Politics of Philosophy and Gender (PPhG) Research Team 2006-2011, I am the co-director of Academy of Finland research project The Power of Culture in Producing Common Sense (POWCULT 2007-2010) and a member of the editorial board of National Bibliography II (Finnish Literature Society). I have been appointed a Docent at the universities of Helsinki and Tampere in Finland, and acted as the Professor of Media Culture at the University of Tampere in 2006-2007.
Research interests
My research interests include questions of national cinema and television history, popular culture, feminist media studies and queer theory.
